Online Calculators is exactly what it sounds like – a collection of various calculators used and provided for several different purposes. No matter what you want to work out, you are sure to find something of use to you here. And of course they also have a VAT calculator.
Where can I find the website and what topics does it cover?
The main landing page is at www.online-calculators.co.uk. This page gives you a quick introduction to the site, and as you will see from the left hand menu, there are plenty of subjects to get your teeth into.
There are calculators here for all kinds of needs. There is a selection that is used for maths purposes; another section for business, and even one for betting purposes! Needless to say it is worth having among your favourites, both for business needs and for other reasons as well.
How do I find the VAT calculator?
The VAT calculator itself is in the business section on the website. From here you can click straight through to it; you will find it at the bottom of the list.
The direct link if you want to know for future needs is www.online-calculators.co.uk/business/vat.php. This will help you save time when you need it.
How do I use it?
You will soon notice that you have not one but two VAT calculators on this page. And if you have a website of your own (or perhaps even a blog) you can also use them for your own needs elsewhere. If you click on the link that asks you to view the code (situated underneath each calculator) you can see a pop up box that gives you all you need to know.
The first VAT calculator is good for figuring out how much VAT should be added to an item if all you have is the net value. All you have to do is put in the price as you have it, plus any delivery costs if applicable. Once you hit the calculate button you will see the rest of the boxes change to reflect the missing values.
The second VAT calculator will help you out when you have a total price for something and you want to know how much of that amount is credited to VAT and how much is the net.
Once again, just fill in the relevant boxes and click on the calculate button to get the rest of the figures you are after. Remember to hit the reset button if you have more than one sum to work out.
The good thing about this is that the amount of VAT included in any delivery charge is shown separately. This makes your own accounts and figures much easier to do and to work out. Some sites only give you the VAT on the whole amount, meaning that you would have to do two separate sums to get the answers you need. With this site that is not necessary, so it certainly saves you a lot of time.
Is there anything else I should be aware of?
The most important thing is obviously to make doubly sure you have the right figures in front of you, and that you are using the right calculator. It pays to check which figures you have before you get started, so you don’t make any crucial mistakes.
With that said, the calculators are very useful. If you have a business related site or blog yourself, integrating them into your own site would certainly enhance the service you are offering to your visitors as well.
