Change to the standard rate of VAT

Please note that a change to the standard rate of VAT is effective from 1 ^st December 2008, the standard rate of VAT is 15%. Prior to this date the standard rate of VAT was 17.5%.

The rate reverted back to the 17.5% rate at the start of 2010, we updated our VAT calculator when this change happened, but still kept the 15% rate on the drop down list if needed.

From January 2011, VAT in the UK is now 20% and we have added this to our VAT calculator.
